Feedback for New Initiatives

Dear HRDC,

At the end of summer break, the UC released a new Q-guide for undergraduates to review student organizations on campus. The HRDC received a large number of detailed reviews with wide-ranging critical commentary. The HRDC Board is committed to engaging with and responding to any critiques of this organization, its structures, and its leadership. In this regard, we hope you will join us in the following efforts to become a more fulfilling and welcoming community.

  1. We have created an anonymous feedback form that will remain open for two weeks, closing on Sunday, October 1 at 11:59pm. The questions on this form were created based on the specific critiques in the Q-guide reviews, and we hope you will respond with thoughtfulness and candor.
  2. If you would like to meet with someone to discuss your thoughts in person, various pairs of Board members will be hosting drop-in conversations this upcoming weekend. Please stop by at any time in these windows (listed below) for a short face-to-face conversation.

    Saturday, 9/23, 2-3:30pm | Quad Lawn w/ Casey Goggin & Madison Deming
    Saturday, 9/23, 3-4:30pm | Adams Conservatory w/ Emily Bergquist & Inaara Shiraz
    Sunday, 9/24, 3-4:30pm | Cabot B Common Room w/ Carla Troconis & Eli Schleicher
Sunday, 9/24, 4-5:30pm | Leverett Library Theater w/ Caro Ribeiro & Meghan Onserio

  3. Finally, our second open meeting of the semester (to be held in early November, exact date TBD) will specifically focus on how we can apply the community feedback in the months following as we approach HRDC Board Elections, Spring 2018 Venue Applications, and the Spring 2018 Season. In this meeting, we plan to discuss this community’s priorities and how they can inform future seasons and leadership.

If you have any questions about these items or about the HRDC more broadly, please do not hesitate to contact any Board member. All of our contact information can be found here. We are looking forward to thoughtfully engaging with the needs of our community and an incredible Fall 2017 season.

All the best,
Carla, Caro, Casey, Eli
Emily, Inaara, Madi & Meghan
