DW: One Meter

Chinese visual poetics by the new millennium

Loeb Experimental Theater

The exhibition will be open beginning on Wednesday, September 27 through Saturday, September 30 between the hours of 4pm and 9pm.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

One Meter is a student-directed art exhibition showcasing Chinese multimedia artists of the 798 Art District, whose works during the turn of the 21st century reflect a population incited with revolution, driven to action by a state dependent on stifling its citizens.

This event is presented as part of the HRDC’s Dark Week series in the Loeb Experimental Theater. This set of events focuses on utilizing times when the Ex would otherwise be empty or “dark,” to highlight art forms not typically considered in a theatrical setting. These wide-ranging events celebrate artistic perspectives that can inform, improve, and influence the theater we create.
