From the moment he lays eyes on Hero, Claudio knows he’s going to marry her. His friend Benedick, though, isn’t a fan of the whole “marriage” concept; he swears he’ll remain a bachelor forever. Only the sharp-witted Beatrice can hold his attention – and that’s because she’s engaged with him in the insult match of the century!

As Claudio and Hero’s wedding day approaches, the unsuspecting Beatrice and Benedick become the subjects of their friends’ matchmaking schemes. But even as the squabbling pair begins to regard each other anew, rumors of Hero’s infidelity spread. Trust falters, tragedy strikes, and allegiances are tested. Will love prevail?

Join us for a 1940s update of this classic love story. With love, laughter, anger, and tenderness, Shakespeare explores what it means to open your heart; to be vulnerable; and to love.
