ABOUT THE SHOW

In a modern rendition of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, the Danish royal court is reduced to seven characters who must navigate their way through the bloody corridors of castle Elsinore. After dark pasts and a brutal murder are revealed, two generations are forced to face each other and unearth the betrayal, lust, and mental illness festering beneath the surface of a royal family. This semester, the Loeb Ex stage begins its season with a gripping edition of Hamlet, bringing the genius of Shakespeare into the 21st century through the use of projections, music and media with a daring approach intended to move, shock and challenge its audience.

Please be aware that the this show contains drug and alcohol use, adult content, sexual harassment, and mental health topics.
